Library Aide Application

If you are interested in working in our school library next year as a library aide, please fill out THIS APPLICATION before May 25th.  


Summer Reading

This summer all OMS students including incoming 6th graders will be involved in summer reading.  You will be required to read for a set number of minutes over the summer, and this includes any book of your choosing including eBooks and audio books.  We will be working with Scholastic.com to record your minutes. Camp Hawks

Attention Incoming 6th Grade Students!  We will be holding Camp Hawks on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. , at Ockerman Middle School.  Come and join us for a day of fun and creativity as each student has the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities.  Students will need a brown bag lunch and drink.  The cost is only $10 and checks can be made payable to GSKWRC.  This camp is available for boys and girls.  Don't miss out!


New Programs for 2016-17 School Year

All parents should have received a call from our principal, Mike Poiry, detailing several new opportunities that will be available for our students this coming school year.  Below are the links you will need for more information or to express interest in the Rosetta Stone Spanish course, the Technology for HS Credit course and the Partnership with Summit Public Schools.

BCHS Summer Health and PE Enrollment Open

If your child is attending BCHS in the fall and you would like to enroll them in summer Health and/or PE to make room in their schedule for other opportuntities like Band/Choir, AP classes, dual enrollment and electives, you can now sign them up to attend the summer enrichment option for Health and PE.  CLICK HERE to view the form.  Spaces are filled on a first-come-first-served basis, so please return the form and your payment as quickly as possible to guarantee a spot. 


Becoming a Chaperone/Volunteer

If you would like to volunteer to help with activities at school or chaperone field trips, you will need to complete and return the Youth Leadership Request form (also known as a Background Check form). This form can be downloaded HERE.  Forms must completed and either turned into your child's school with a $10 fee.

Target Rewards for OMS

This year Target is expected to donate $1 BILLION for education by the end of 2015.  Some of that will go to OMS as parents have begun designate OMS as their school of choice on the Target REDcard (credit or debit card).  If you already have a REDcard, simply to go www.Target.com/TCOE or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate us as your school of choice.  If you apply for a REDcard, you will be asked during the application if you have a school you would like to dontate to through this program.  Our school ID for this program is 53848.  Please take a moment to add us to your card!  It is free to do so, and it will cost you nothing and 1% of your purchase will be donated to Ockerman Middle School!


Free MS Office for Students!
Boone County Schools is happy to announce a new program for students - Microsoft Student Advantage Program. This program is available to any student enrolled in Boone County Schools as part of the district's licensing agreement with Microsoft. The Microsoft Student Advantage Program allows students to install Office 365 Pro applications on up to 5 devices - PC, MAC, and/or mobile device - FREE!

Who is Eligible?

Any student currently enrolled in the Boone County School District! All students need to do is log in to their webmail to get started. CLICK HERE for more instructions.
