Larry A. Ryle High School Receives National Recognition for Commitment to Empowering Students

Named a distinguished school for STEM and career learning program

Union, KYLarry A. Ryle High School announced today that it has been recognized as a Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished School for providing broad access to transformative learning opportunities for students through PLTW Biomedical Science and Engineering. It is one of just 64 high schools across the U.S. to receive this honor.

PLTW is a nonprofit organization that serves millions of PreK-12 students and teachers in schools across the U.S.

“We are very proud and excited to earn this recognition for our students, our teachers, and our school.  Our PLTW programs in Biomedical Science and Engineering provide great learning opportunities for our students in highly relevant STEM areas.  Students completing these pathways gain great insight and have meaningful hands-on experiences that prepare them to be future science and engineering leaders.  These programs have further elevated the in-depth conversations with our students about the career opportunities in these STEM areas,” said Matthew Turner, Principal of Ryle High School.
