In November Cooper High School was selected by Duke Energy as the School of the Week featuring their shoe drive that coincided with their musical, Footloose. Cora Dotson helped lead students on a Service Learning Project that collected shoes for the needy at the Brighton Center and helped to put domestic violence in the spotlight. That project just wrapped up with a total of 184 pairs of shoes to be donated! Duke donated $1,000 to the Cooper Drama Department. The story was featured on WKRC Channel 12.
